SINGAPORE AMBASSADOR PRESENTED PM WITH ANTI-CORRUPTION BOOKS
Singapore’s Ambassador to the Pacific Islands Forum has presented a range of anti-corruption books to Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare saying they will help to effectively address corruption issues in the Solomon Islands.
Verghese Mathews presented the books during a courtesy visit to the Prime Minister this week.
Ambassador Matthews told Prime Minister Sogavare he has learned so much about the policy intentions and strong stance the Democratic Coalition for Change is taking against corruption.
He assured the Prime Minister the books will help his Government to effectively address corruption issues in Solomon Islands, as it has done for Singapore.
Ambassador Mathews also invited Solomon Islands government to visit his country to learn how the Singapore Independent Commission Against Corruption works.
