SOLOMON WATER SERVED WITH 28-DAYS STRIKE NOTICE
A 28-days strike notice has been issued to the Management of Solomon Water.
The Workers Union of Solomon Islands (WUSI) issued the notice yesterday on behalf of Solomon Water’s 103 employees.
A statement from WUSI said the notice was issued over Solomon Water’s reluctance to consider WUSI’s application to represent its employees in matters relating to their terms of conditions and employment.
WUSI General Secretary Tony Kangovai said a meeting convened Wednesday this week with the employees, endorsed the strike action.
The notice is effective yesterday and will lapse on 14 September.
