SOLOMONS U-23 TO VANUATU FOR FOUR-NATIONS TOURNEY
In Sports, the Solomon Islands Under 23 team will fly over to Vanuatu next week to participate in a four-nation tournament inclusive of Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and Solomon Islands.
This was announced by the President of the Solomon Islands Football Federation Mr Willie Lai.
Speaking to SIBC Sports Mr Lai says an agreement with the Vanuatu Football Association has been fixed for Solomon Islands’ participation.
He says this is part of the under 23 soccer team’s preparation for next month’s South Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.
“Next week they are going to Vanuatu. We have a four-nation tournament inclusive of Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and Solomon Islands. I think it’s a good mini tournament and we hope that our boys will improve in preparation for the South Pacific Games.”
