Day 3 of the golf competition saw Samoa come out on top in the men’s category with 216 points over New Caledonia, which took the lead in Days 1 and 2.

Team Solomon and Papua New Guinea claim the third position with 223 points each.

Team Manager for Solomon Mens Golf Team, Arvindra Rishi Prasad, said Day 3 of the competition saw an impressive improvement from Days 1 and 2 for the men’s team, with 243 on Day 1, 235 on Day 2, and 223 points today (Day 3).

“I’m very happy with the performance so far on day 3. You see the points in days 1 and 2; day 3 is just an impressive improvement.”

“I’m confident that the boys will perform better on the final day of the competition to be able to be in the top 3. I appeal for support from friends and acknowledge those who have been with us in the past 3 days,” Mr. Rishi Prasad said.

Meanwhile, the women’s golf competition is currently in progress and will end this evening. Tomorrow will be the final day of competition for both women and men.
