Mr Raramo says this is to help local businesses promote their own products as this can raise awareness which the private sector play in economic development in the country.

Mr Raramo adds, this can also create and promote partnership among relevant stakeholders through establishing commercial contacts between private sector and the public.

“The broad objectives of this year’s trade expo, first to promote innovation and development of locally produced products of Solomon Islands; to enable firms to create and raise interest of awareness of their products; to promote enterprises and entrepreneur who provide such goods and services; to create awareness of the important role that private sector plays in nation building and to promote partnership between stakeholders by establishing commercial contacts between the private and the general public.”
