West Are’are communities have today joined the rest of the country to mark the country’s 37th Independence Anniversary.

John Keni reported, celebrations were held at Muki village.

He says neighbouring communities attended the festivities.

“People from surrounding areas as far as Olomburi up to Waimaka have gathered at Muki and having some activities to celebrate the 37th Independence, like a seven a side soccer knock out and people are very interested in such celebrations especially through sporting activities. Food items were also on sale during the event.”
