Western Province’s full Assembly Meeting has been delayed for tomorrow.

This is to allow the Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee to complete its preparations of the provincial budget.

Aaron Szetu from SIBC’s Radio Hapi Lagun reports, majority of the Members of the Western Provincial Assembly have arrived in Munda ahead of the meeting.

“The meeting has been delayed for tomorrow because half of the assembly members have attended a public accounts committee meeting or PAC for short, which is a one-day meeting which started in Gizo yesterday and it is from this PAC meeting that they will finalise the budget document that the assembly will deliberate on”.

He says the order paper for tomorrow’s meeting will be finalised upon the arrival of the Provincial Speaker from Gizo this evening.
