WET WEATHER AFFECTED SCHOOLS IN EAST FATALEKA
The current Wet weather in the country has affected schools in East Fataleka, Malaita Province.
A concerned teacher from Toliorea Primary School Ben Ledi says, communities in the area have experienced heavy rain causing major rivers to rise.
Mr Ledi says the heavy floods are now forcing schools in the area to suspend classes.
“Schools which are situated close to rivers within the area have suspended classes due to flooding from the rivers.”
SIBC News understands the current heavy rain alert issued by the National Disaster Management Office for the country is still active.
