The Gold Ridge Community and Landowners Council have elected a new Executive for the next two years.

Mr Dick Douglas has been re-elected as chair of the council.

Mr Whitlam Kikolo has been elected the new secretary.

The Council’s new Treasurer is Mr Charles Tani.

Other members of the Executive include Justice Deni, Titus Soba, Rex Hosea, Chief Willie Roni, Chief Allan Kirisi and Chief Sam Tiva.

Chairman, Mr. Dick Douglas in his opening remarks says the people of Goldridge are proud to host the country’s first-ever gold mine, which has contributed significantly in stabilizing the economy of this country over the years.

The election process has been presided over by officials from the Ministry of Mines and carried out in accordance with the appropriate Constitution.
