Kurukuru has bowed out of the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup after a 10-nil deficit to Kazakhstan this morning.

The Kurukuru boys fought long and hard in their pool matches but were unable to secure a win or draw, though scoring against some of the world’s top Futsal teams like Argentina and Costa Rica.

A number of supporters spoken to by SIBC News say they really appreciate Kurukuru’s performance at this year’s FIFA Futsal World Cup compared to their first and second appearance at the world game.

Meanwhile, the Solomon Islands Rugby Union Federation (SIRUF) has a new Development Manager.

He is Alivereti Mocelutu Vuibau from Fiji.

An invitation from SIRUF confirms the new recruitment.
