OPPOSITION LEADER CONVEYED CONDOLENCES TO VANUATU AFTER PAM

Leader of the Parliamentary Opposition Group Jeremiah Manele has conveyed his condolences to the Government and people of Vanuatu following the devastating tropical Cyclone Pam that hit Vanuatu over the weekend.

In a letter to Vanuatu’s Prime Minister, Joe Natuma, Mr Manele conveyed sincere condolences on behalf of the Solomon Islands Parliamentary Opposition Group to those who lost their loved ones during Cyclone Pam.

Mr Manele says the aftermath of the Cyclone would be costly especially when properties have been lost and vital infrastructures damaged.

He adds it is the prayer of the Solomon Islands Parliamentary Opposition that through tolerance, perseverance and support from international stakeholders, Vanuatu will be able to swiftly recover from the tragedy.
