Tropical Cyclone Pam has claimed food gardens and homes on West Kwaio, Malaita province.

David Gosia from West Kwaio reports, most food gardens along the Kwaisisi and Bina rivers have been swept away by flooding.

Mr Gosia said a total of 15 houses were destroyed by cyclone Pam’s wrath.

“About 15 homes have their roofs blown off by the strong winds where I am reporting and I have been helping out repairing some of them, one of which is an iron-roofed house.”

Mr Gosia adds, people now call on the Government and National Emergency Operation Centre for immediate assistance.
