Bank South Pacific (BSP) has now taken over all Westpac Banking operations in Solomon Islands as of today.

A statement from the Central Bank of Solomon Islands (CBSI) said the operation was effective as of last Friday.

It said Westpac’s main branch located in Honiara has been re-branded from the colour red to greenĀ and is operating as a BSP branch beginning today.

The takeover includes the re-branding of all Westpac ATMs and In-store banking facilities around the country.

The banking public has been assured by CBSI that the transition of Westpac to BSP is expected to be done smoothly.

CBSI congratulates BSP for the successful acquisition and calls on the people of Solomon Islands to acknowledge and thank Westpac for its services over the years.
