The Central Islands Provincial Assembly has passed its 2014-2015 budget.

Confirming this to SIBC New today, Speaker of Central Islands Provincial Assembly John Bosamata says the Provincial Assembly has passed its 2014-2015 total budget of more than nine million dollars on Friday.

Mr Bosamata says the recurrent budget is over 4-million dollars while capital development budget is nearly six million dollars.

Mr. Bosamata adds, the Assembly hopes to properly use the budget to offer needed services to its people.

“The budget for 2014-2015 for Recurrent is 4-million and 71-thousand, 6-hundred and 56 dollars and then for Capital Development it is 5-million 8-hundred and 82-thousand, 8-hundred and 85 dollars, so the province will operate with a total budget of 9-million 9-hundred and 54-thousand, 5-hundred and 41 dollars, and that’s the total budget for 2014-2015 to provide services to the 27-thousand people in Central Province,” said the Provincial Speaker.
