A five days family planning workshop is currently underway in Tulagi, Central Islands Province.

Registered nurses from within six zones in the province are participating in the workshop.

SIBC stringer Gabriel Riotarau reports, the workshop focuses on the new family planning method called Jadelle.

“And it the first for it to come in the province. When i spoke to the Head of the Reproductive health in the province, he said the method is simple, easy and a good one. The put in an implanted object into the woman’s left arm and it will stay there for a period of five years.

This will stay there to control the women not to have children or not to have children quickly.”
