North Malaita communities are calling on responsible authorities to quickly fix bad roads in the constituency.

SIBC’s stringer John Andrew Kiri reports, the road is 10 kilometres and connects Kwaitabu stream and Barafau community.

“The major concern for the North Malaita’s general populace at the moment starting from the Kwaitabu stream to Barafau the worst part of the road still needs thorough fixing.”

Kiri also reports the road is important to North Malaita people as it provides access to various important developments in the constituency.

“This distance has six schools; four primary schools like Musukui, Mamako, Rate, Sikofata and two community high schools namely Bita’ama and Afufu, including a vocational school Ngalikekero. Copra and cocoa production are also high in this area which is currently affected.”
