FORMER PRIME MINISTER HITS OUT AT OPPOSITION LEADER
Former Solomon Islands Prime minister Manasseh Sogavare has hit out at Opposition Leader Dr Derek Sikua over the Julian Moti settlement claim.
Sogavare, who is a senior Opposition member, said he was surprised Dr Sikua was now calling for a Commission of Inquiry to inquire into Mr. Moti’s illegal entry into the country in 2007.
He expressed surprise at the Opposition Leader saying he cannot insist on a matter that he himself did not do when he had the power to do so, and that this would be hypocrisy in its blatant form.
The East Choiseul MP urged the government to go on with the arrangement to settle Moti’s legal dues.
