HIGH COURT TO RULE ON WUSI’s LEGALITY
The High Court will this Friday, deliver its ruling on the legality of the Workers Union of Solomon Islands (WUSI).
Chief Executive Officer of the Solomon Islands Ports Authority Colin Yow challenged the legality of the trade Union, who represented employees he terminated in April last year.
A full hearing, lasting more than three hours, was conducted last week into the case.
WUSI’s lawyer John Taupongi confirms, the ruling is set for this Friday, before Justice John Keniapisia.
Meanwhile, the ruling for Yow’s contempt of Court case is set for next month.
WUSI took the SIPA boss to Court for allegedly defying a High Court order to reinstate the workers he terminated last year.
