Four men will spend over two years each in prison for breaking into an office at the Guadalcanal Plains Palm Oil Plantation Limited (GPPOL) and removing items worth around $47,000.00.

Magistrate Augustine Aulanga today sentenced Walter Onumu to 31 months imprisonment and Martin Mepeni, Jeffrey Miveabu and Micheal Lano to 30 months imprisonment each.

It was revealed that between March 19 and 22, the four men entered the premises of a GPPOL construction office and stole several items from the office.

They voluntarily surrendered themselves to the Henderson Police on 28 March, making admissions for their involvements in committing the offences.

The Court heard some items have been recovered while others are still missing.
