The RSIPF Police Commissioner says the Guadalcanal Police have positively responded to a disorder situation at Ruavuatu on Tuesday.

Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast says police will not tolerate such behaviours in the community.

He says Police at Henderson and Tetere have responded to the incident and arrested five male suspects, saying they were expected to be late yesterday.

“A group of people attacked the staff house with bush knives at the Ruavatu school compound. Staff and students were forced to evacuate the school and find shelter in nearby and surrounding villages. Clearly that’s not acceptable behaviour in any country and the police will not tolerate it. Guadalcanal police from Henderson and Tetere responded to the report, officers restored order and allowed the school programs to continue.”
