HCC AGREED TO PROCEED WITH DEMOLITION EXERCISE

The Honiara City Council (HCC) Executive has agreed to carry out its demolition exercise in the Central Business District – CBD of HoniaraCity.

City Mayor Alfrence Fatai said his executive has met last Thursday and approved the demolition exercise.

He said, now they are waiting on the HCC Management to follow its process in notifying building owners, saying the Council will also produce a standard building plan.

SIBC News understands the demolition exercise is part of the Council’s efforts to give the City a new look as some of the buildings at the CBD area are too old.
