The People of Northwest Choiseul Constituency have expressed concerns over the delay of disaster relief support from their Member of Parliament and the Provincial Disaster Office.

Provincial Assembly Member for Choiseul Bay Ward, Hon. Josiah Vana told SIBC News they are still waiting for the support to be delivered to them.

“We’ve been waiting for a while, hoping that relief supplies would come, but now we are confused when it will come and it has been two months since the disaster. Other provinces have received their supplies through their members of parliament.”

He says the Choiseul Provincial Disaster Office told them to wait, but it has been two months.

SIBC News understands a few Constituencies have already received disaster relief assistance from their MPs recently.
