The much awaited Honiara Rugby is now set to kick off on Monday 9th, Whit Monday, at the Solomon Islands National University rugby field.

A media statement from the Honiara Rugby Union Association, HRUA, said a 10’s Rugby Tournament with eight senior teams confirmed will battle out on Monday afternoon at the grounds and the winner will walk away with cash a prize after the knockout.

HRUA executive is appealing on all rugby supporters to go and watch the beginning of another major rugby season.

The statement adds, this is a pre-season tournament to prepare teams for the 15’s senior men’s rugby competition, which is set to start on June 21.

Club Managers are asked to make sure their teams be at the playing field before 11am on Monday, as a briefing will be held before the first games between Relas and Teofa rugby teams kicks off.
