The Republic of Korea’s Ambassador to the Solomon Islands has presented his credential letters to the Governor General at the Government house today.

Kim Seon Chun presented his credentials to Sir Frank Kabui this morning.

Presenting his credentials, Ambassador Kim conveyed greetings from the President of the Republic of Korea to the government and people of Solomon Islands.

He said his country wishes for closer cooperation with Solomon Islands on key regional and global issues as like minded countries.

He also said he hoped his presentation will add to the amicable and cooperative bilateral relations between the Republic of Korea and Solomon Islands.

“Sharing common beliefs and interest since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1978. The Government of the Republic of Korea note with appreciation that Solomon Islands has been invaluably supporting Korea’s stance and policies, including Korean Peninsula issues. In this regard I would like to look for two Solomon Islands’ unwavering support for Korea’s policy of peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula, which has been occasionally turbulent.”
