LATA FLIGHTS RESUMED.

Solomon Airlines has resumed its scheduled flights to Lata Airport in Temotu Province.

SIBC’s David Palapu confirms from Lata, a Civil Aviation Officer had inspected the airport and satisfied, it is usable therefore recommended normal flights to resume.

Mr Palapu also reports the Civil Aviation Officer said the Aviation office will work with the Temotu Provincial Government, and responsible groups to access tractor slasher to ensure cleanliness of the airport is maintained at all times.

Flights to Lata Airport were disrupted early this week after a local group contracted to clean-up the airstrip failed their end of the bargain.
