The Malaita Traditional Governing Council of Chief has questioned the completion of NCRA government’s growth centre projects in Malaita Province.

The organisation made the question after funding have been allocated for the Faumamanu, Liwe and Kadabina growth centres but yet to be completed.

Vice President of the organisation, Rocky Tisah questioned if the next government will still focus on NCRA’s growth centre policies.

Mr Tisha said the people of Malaita province have been long waiting too long for the development of the growth centres.

Meanwhile, a constituent from North Malaita is urging people of Malaita Province to cast their ballot papers wisely in the National general elections.

Enoch Ramo says people should view the 2014 National Elections as an opportunity to change their leadership at the National Parliament.

Mr Ramo says Malaita province has been assured and earmarked for many projects in the past, but none of them have been successful.

He says former Malaita MPs have failed to work together with the provincial government to pursue these projects.

Mr Ramo adds now is the time to develop Malaita province and voters should elect leaders who have the heart to do so.

He cited the Bina Harbour, Auluta Basin, and Suava Bay as projects past Governments have failed to fulfil for Malaita Province.
