The Magistrate Court today has released an intending candidate for Northeast Guadalcanal Henry Saea from murder charges.

Deputy Chief Magistrate Jim Seuika granted the release after he was satisfied there was no sufficient evidence against Mr Saea to commit the matter to the High Court for trial.

A long form preliminary inquiry was conducted into the case last week and early this week.

This morning, Counsels from the prosecution and the defence presented their final submissions into the case.

Later this afternoon, Magistrate Seuika ruled that the Prosecution has failed to produce sufficient evidence against the accused during the inquiry.

He ordered his immediate release.

Saea was alleged to be one of the instigators behind a traffic accident at GIPPOL 2 on May 18th this year which killed two
people.
