MAN DIED AFTER HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT

A 26 year old man has died after a hit and run accident at Ranadi in East Honiara.
The fatal accident happened Saturday evening.
The Police Media Unit says the man was injured after a car hit him while he was crossing the main road at Ranadi with his wife.
Police allege the car had hit the man from a west-ward direction and continued on.
He was taken to the National Referral Hospital, but was pronounced dead by medical authorities.
Police are calling on any eye witness during those hours, at about 7pm opposite the OBA Store at Ranadi to come forward and assist the police investigation.
