Parishioners at the Saint Barnabas Parish, Mbita’ama, North Malaita have been called on to remember the origin of their faith – the death and resurrection of Jesus.

SIBC’s Mbita’ama stringer, John Andrew Kiri reports, parishioners were reminded on Palm Sunday – no human has experienced the suffering Jesus took on himself for sinners.

Kiri reports the message was delivered by Reverend Father Richard Suiga.

“But after the death of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on the third day He will be resurrected on Easter Sunday, where we Christians throughout the world are ready to celebrate as the origin of our faith and belief as true Christians, despite what church you belong to or wherever you are in the world.”

The Lenten season ran for 40 days and officially ended on 2nd April, ahead of Good Friday yesterday.

Easter Sunday will be officially celebrated in churches around the country tomorrow.
