The Solomon Islands National Basketball men’s side will take on the visiting Papua New Guinea national men’s team.
Solomon Islands Basketball Federation Secretary, Uriel Matangani says they have invited PNG national basketball team to come over to Solomon Islands for friendly matches with the national basketball squad in preparation for the South Pacific Games in July.
He says they are hoping, the PNG team arrives by this week, earliest, and spend two weeks in the country.
Mr Matanani adds they are also waiting for a respond from the Fiji national basketball side following a similar invitation sent to them.
SIBC News understands the Solomon Islands Basketball Federation has started its series of fundraising towards the upcoming South Pacific Games in PNG.
