NDMO ADVISED PEOPLE TO LISTEN TO SIBC FOR QUAKE INFO

The National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) has advised people to listen to the National Broadcaster for further information, following increased earthquake activities this week.

Text messages sent to all B-mobile users in the country today stated that increased earthquake activities have been observed south of Temotu province.

It says earthquakes can cause tsunamis and people are advised to listen to SIBC for more information.

SIBC News understands, an undersea earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred yesterday, near 204 kilometers north-northwest of Santo, Vanuatu.
