A long serving Marine officer has called on the next government to improve the welfare of Marine officers as they have contributed more on transportation services in Solomon Islands.

SIBC’s stringer Gabriel Riotarau reports, a Desmond Roro is appealing on the next government to consider the welfare of marine officers to ensure better shipping service in the country.

Riotarau reports, improvements are needed in the country’s shipping services.

“He called on the new government to consider the marine division to set back its standard to continue to provide services to the country.”
