PAC ENDS HEARING INTO 2015 SUPPLEMENTARY BILL

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) inquiry into the 2015 Supplementary Appropriation Bill 2015 ended in Parliament today.

This week a total of 13 ministries appeared before the Committee to deliberate on their ministry’s budgetary spending.

They are the Ministry of Finance and Treasury; Ministry of Police, National Security and Correctional Services and the Ministry of Communication and Civil Aviation.The Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet; Ministry of Infrastructure

Development and the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Disaster Management have also appeared before the PAC.

A statement from the Parliament media Unit says 2015 Supplementary Appropriation Bill estimates up to $195, 740, 131.00

It says this is to supplement additional expenditure and expenditure incurred by the issue of contingencies warrants, advance warrants, variations in appropriations and additional recurrent supplementary estimates from government ministries.
