Police advise public to control use of social media ahead of judgement on Constitutional Case
The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) is calling on all members of the public to exercise responsibility and restraint in their use of social media platforms ahead of the Chief Justice’s judgment on the case between the new coalition and government scheduled for tomorrow at 1:00pm.
As the country awaits this important decision, we have observed an increase in online posts and comments that may contribute to unnecessary fear, panic, and misinformation among the public.
The RSIPF strongly urges all social media users to refrain from sharing unverified information or rumours, avoid posting content that may incite fear, panic, or public disorder, and to engage respectfully and responsibly in online discussions.
We remind the public that spreading misinformation can have serious consequences, including causing unnecessary alarm and disrupting public peace.

The RSIPF continues to monitor the situation closely and assures the public that security measures are in place to maintain law and order. We encourage everyone to remain calm and allow due process to take its course.
