Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) for Choiseul Province, Inspector Elliot Ngili has assured the people of Choiseul province of a strong police presence at polling stations across the three constituencies in the province.

In an interview with SIBC News, PPC Ngili said as a neutral and mandated body, the police are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of both voters and election officials, thus facilitating a peaceful and effective election process.

“I would like to assure voters that they can exercise their democratic right to vote for their representative in parliament because the police will be present at all polling stations in the province,” said Inspector Ngili.

Inspector Ngili also called upon anyone considering disrupting the election process to refrain from such activities and allow the process to proceed peacefully and democratically in the communities.
