President Trump congratulates Solomon Islands

President Donald Trump sends the United States of America’s congratulatory message on Solomon Islands national day.

Sent through the US Embassy in Papua New Guinea, President Trump said, on behalf of the people of the United States of America, he extends best wishes to the nation of Solomon Islands as it celebrates its 40th anniversary of independence on July 7.

Mr. Trump said, the enduring bond between the United States and the Solomon Islands dates back to World War II and is based on shared history, common values, and a commitment to regional stability.

US values its close partnership in international fora, and committed to continuing its military cooperation, he adds.

The US President said, as a steadfast friend and partner, the United States looks forward to working closely with Solomon Islands in the years ahead.
