The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has acknowledged the cooperation and respect of law and order from the public during the Christmas and New year operations.

Honiara City Provincial Police Commander, Superintendent Jack Balaga made this statement on behalf of the RSIPF.

Superintendent Balaga acknowledged the general public, stakeholders, business firms and the Government for the great support and cooperation, demonstrated since day one of the Operation.

Mr Balaga says cooperation in achieving a peaceful and successful Christmas and New Year without major criminal activities proves a Happy Isles’ with people who wanting to embrace peace and harmony.

Meanwhile he says, police will continue its routine duties and members of the public are urged to take care of their daily business, as many will travel back to town to resume work, school and personal endeavors.

He says, the whole country is relatively quiet from the provinces and especially in Honiara where most celebrations and more people celebrate.
