Taiwan has released the third payment of last year’s RCDF to the Prime Minister.

Taiwanese Ambassador, Victor Yu, announced the release of the funds this yesterday.

A statement from the Taiwanese office in Honiara says the funding support, worth 11-point-two million dollars, is for 28 constituencies that delivered acquittal reports against the second RCDF payment last year.

Ambassador Yu said the funding will contribute to local development project and improve the quality of life for people in the rural areas.

In response to the Taiwanese Ambassador, Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo said the funds will bring big benefits to the majority of Solomon people, and enhance welfares of the people.

Taiwan gives funds to Constituency Development, Constituency Micro-project fund and the Millennium Development fund.

The Taiwanese Embassy says the remaining 8-point-8 million dollars of the 20-million dollars will be released after the other 22 Constituencies submit their acquittal reports.
