Royal Solomon Islands Police Force, RSIPF, crime records for the past two weeks have been fairly low despite minor cases which are currently under police control.

Confirming this in her weekly media conference today Acting Police Commissioner, Juanita Matanga says crime records are low and police is attending minor offenses.

“Police continues to record very low crime and although we have attended some of the minor offenses, I’d like to say that over the past weeks police have received very low reported crime. However, I’d like to reemphasize that police continues to attend to minor offenses relating to disturbances and I also noticed from daily incident reports that fundraising events involving alcohol is becoming an issue.”

She says there are proper processes to organise fundraising events involving alcohol consumption and those intending to organise them must adhere to these procedures.
