S.I.W.I.B.A SHOWCASED LOCAL PRODUCTS AT EXPO IN P.N.G

The Solomon Islands Women in Business (SIWIBA) is showcasing local products at the Business Women Expo Papua New Guinea with high hopes to secure outside markets.

Vice President Julie Haro told SIBC News, SIWIBA members who left last weekend for the expo took with them local products to showcase the Expo.

Mrs Haro says the products include dyed lava-lavas in differentprints, traditional shell money necklaces and earrings from MalaitaProvince, local baskets from Rennel-Bellona Province and Marovo lagoon.

She says there’s a high expectation to secure markets for our local products.

“This expectation of what we expect. It’s about what products we canmarket outside.And apart from that it’s about the network relationshipthat SIWIBA can take its membership in terms of networking platformand how we can relate with other businesses there, that we can relateback to what we have here so we can add value.”

The trip is funded by the Australian Government.
