SECURITY GUARD CHARGED FOR STEALING MONEY

A security guard at the High Court has been charged with stealing around $10,000 from the office last month.

The guard was arrested late last month, shortly after he was discovered, and charged.

It is alleged he made numerous withdrawals at one of the commercial banks in Honiara from the account of another High Court employee.

He allegedly used her ATM card.

SIBC News understands the guard is no longer working, having been put on discipline.

He will appear at the Magistrate Court on the 28th of this month.
