SENIOR POLICE OFFICER SUSPENDED OVER MOTOR ACCIDENT

The office of the Police Commissioner has suspended a senior police officer.

A police statement today says the commissioner suspended the officer in relation to a motor accident that occurred at East Honiara over the weekend.

The Traffic Department of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force has initiated an investigation- looking into the matter.

Traffic Investigators are calling on members of the public who may have witnessed or have any information in relation to the incident to give an account to the Traffic Centre or the Police Communication Centre.
