The Crown has concluded its case against South Guadalcanal MP David Pacha this morning at the Magistrate’s Court.

The final witness testified for the Crown this morning.

He is the sixth witness to testify for the prosecution in the re-trial of Mr Pacha’s case this year.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Jim Seuika has adjourned the trial to Wednesday this week for the defence to begin its case.

Mr Pacha’s lawyer told the Court his client will be the first witness to give evidence.

Member of Parliament for South Guadalcanal David Dei Pacha is standing a re-trial on charges of conversion and abuse of office.

He is accused of allegedly misusing more than $148,000.00 of constituency funds.

He was acquitted of the charges in 2012 after the Magistrates Court found there was no case to answer.

But the prosecution appealed against the ruling and the matter was remitted to the Magistrates Court for a re-trial.
