The Solomon Creative Writers Association is to launch its new book tomorrow, Wednesday 28 September.

The 10am launch is part of events celebrating International Peace Day.

The book titled “Talemaot: Solomon stories of peace and conflict” (2nd edition) covers Solomon Islands’ humorous and tragic past and present.

The Hon. Minister of Education Mr John Fugui and the Solomon Islands Creative Writers Association President Jasmine Navala Waleafea are expected to grace the launch.

Talemaot: Solomon stories of peace and conflict” contains short stories, poems and film scripts by well-known and emerging writers.

The edition is edited by Dr Anouk Ride and published by the University of the South Pacific.

The Ministry of National Unity Reconciliation and Peace and United Nations Development Program are supporting the distribution of copies of Talemaot to secondary schools across the nation.

Dr Anouk confirms, the launch will be preceded by an official ceremony from 8:30am.
