The Makira Ulawa provincial government has pledged for more service delivery to its people.

This comes after the government led by Premier Stanley Siapu defeated a motion of no confidence with a 13-7 vote today, allowing Siapu to remain Premier.

Speaking to SIBC News, Siapu said that the result presented a renewed focus for his government to strengthen service delivery and address key development priorities across the province.

The Premier thanked his executive members for their united stand throughout the test of his leadership.

“I want to sincerely thank the people of Makira Ulawa Province for their prayers and continued support for me and my government,” Premier Siapu said.

“My special acknowledgement goes to my executive for standing firm with me throughout this process,” he said.

Siapu, the MPA for Santa Ana, has served as Premier since his election after the 2024 Joint Elections.
