SIR PAUL HOPES REFORMS BEAR POSITIVE OUTCOMES

Chairman of the Political Parties Integrity Commission Sir Paul Tovua says he hopes current reform programs bear effective positive outcome.

Sir Paul told SIBC News, after 37 years of political Independence, Solomon Islands must change drastically to become better legislated.

“I hope and trust that you know, the reform program that is currently happening in the country including the political parties and the electoral act under the Constitutional reform has a good outcome.”

Sir Paul points out, certain sections of the national constitution is out of date.

“After 37 years we see that we need changes to our Constitution and the laws made under the Constitution especially the creation of parliament, you know, we need change and I think change for the better so that it can legislate our actions.”
