The Solomon Islands National U20 boys are looking forward to another tough action against Cook Islands in their second match of the Oceania U20 World Cup Qualifier tomorrow in Vanuatu.

Tomorrow’s match will be the first Group B match before Tahiti takes on the All Whites in the afternoon.

An OFC statement said the local boys have made some impressive start in this year’s OFC U20 Championship pinning the Tahiti Nui in 2 goal draw.

In their first match against Tahiti, Solomon Islands side has done a lot to secure the decision to share the points with Tahiti.

Tahiti leapt into a relatively comfortable 2-0 lead before going into the break.

But the Solomon Islands Coach Pedro Mateo has renewed a sense of verve that eventually caused problems for Tahiti.

The local side was awarded a penalty in the 48th minute which Albert Witney made no mistake in slotting the ball behind the net.

Fifteen minutes later, a beautiful strike from Richard Raramo had the keeper beaten, with the ball just grazing the tips of the Tahiti Keeper’s outstretched fingers.

Solomon Islands coach Mateo believes his side were justly rewarded for their second half performance.
