SOUTH GUADALCANAL EXPERIENCE RAIN
While most of the country is very dry – a direct result of current severe dry weather – South Guadalcanal tends to experience the opposite.
SIBC’s South Guadalcanal stringer, Nathaniel Manu confirms, the Weather Coast has been heavily showered over the past couple of months.
Mr Manu says food crops in the area die of too much rain and no sunshine.
He adds, the region is mostly wet with only one or two dry days in a week.
“A day or two will be fine weather, but after all wet weather continues to dominate our climate here while the country experiences dry weather.”
