VAVANGA OUSTED IN MOTION OF NO CONFINDENCE

The Guadalcanal Provincial Executive has voted out its Premier, Bartholomew Vavanga in a motion of no confidence yesterday.

Guadalcanal Provincial Speaker Abel Arabola confirms, the motion moved by the Assembly Member for Birao Ward  Peter Aoranisaka was unanimously passed.

Grounds for the motion include the former premier’s negligence of duty and very expensive life-style which quickly drained the premier’s discretionary funds.

Mr. Arabola says even the former premier voted himself out.

“When I put it to vote, all 21 Members of the Provincial Assembly including the Premier himself, voted for the motion.”

Mr. Arabola adds, a new Premier will be elected next Wednesday.
