WPG allocates $3 million for priority projects
By Alfred Pagepitu
The Western Provincial government has allocated more than 3- million dollars to fund its priority projects.
Provincial Minister of Finance, Hon. Ron Kituru Ghemu said the finding will be managed by the Ward Development Committees (WDC).
“A total of $3,447,760 has been allocated to fund the project priorities for the 26 wards in the Western Province.
“This year’s WDC allocation has been increased, as I promised, to 18% compared to the 15%. And it reflects our trust and confidence in the UWDC executive.
“This, however, asks more UWDC executives to properly account for the grants received with transparency and accountability,” he said.
He reminded members that working together is key to delivering projects in the province.
